Megan Moroney Concert!

Kate has introduced me to all kinds of new artists and music the last few years, and one of those artists is Megan Moroney, a young country artist that blends a little pop sound to her music. We both really like her music so when we found out she was coming to KC for a concert this summer we had to get tickets!

Boots are ready to go!

She invited her friend Lucy to join us - as she plays the guitar like Kate and they both love her music!
Lucy came over in the afternoon to get ready with Kate and to make friendship bracelets for the concert.

They made so many - with various titles of songs on them - as well as words familiar with Megan and her music!

Got the merch!

EVEYRONE there was in pink/demin and white cowboy boots!
We fit right in! :)

We met up with their friend Reece before the show started . . .

Kate's first REAL concert - meaning that SHE
is truly a huge fan of! Loved seeing it through her eyes!!

Dying!!!  She is about to come on!!!!

She put on such an impressive show - played for 2 hours straight and really spoke to all the tween/teen girls there. She knows her audience and really build them up with positive messages. I am an even bigger fan after going!

Beautiful Things is such a great song to teen girls. Such a great message.

Never gonna forget this special night with Kate!

Late Summer Daze . . .

Love making bouquets for around the house from the garden!
This one is for the girls' bathroom upstairs -

Molly and friends went to the Royals game -

I took Kate and a couple of her friends thrifting for the afternoon - we went to 3 thrift stores and then out for snow cones! We had so much fun!

Bear turned 6!!

Not a puppy anymore - although he still plays like a puppy!

Grandpa Don came to visit for a couple of days . . .
and he brought fresh cucumbers and tomatoes from his garden!

The best tomatoes you'll ever eat!

{Kate - 13, Grandpa Don - 74, Molly - 16}

Grandpa wanting to see photos in Kate's yearbook -
I think he was asking to see her "boyfriend" here . . .

Annual 8th Grade Car Wash with these cuties!

Noah Kahn in St. Louis!

Molly and her friend Ellie really wanted to see Noah Kahn in concert this summer but he wasn't planning on a KC stop on the tour, sadly. So we road tripped to STL for the night!

We stayed right across the street from Busch Stadium - and lucked out with this room with a balcony  overlooking the stadium!

It also just happened to be a GORGEOUS summer day - only in the 70's!

Once they left for the concert - I chilled on the balcony and enjoyed it as well from our hotel!
I love Noah Kahn!

After concert - I went outside to meet them outside the stadium, and someone gave me this homemade bracelet that says "Go to Maine" - the name of one of his songs! Made my night!

Molly & Ellie wearing their merch!

To be 16 and at a summer concert!

Hot Time, Summer in the City!

My zinnia flower garden is exploding!

If someone came into our home while we weren't here - it would be obvious we are a TEENAGER house!
This pull up bar is constantly on one of the door frames -

Our garage freezer is packed with treats like this as well as Ninja Cream ice-creams ready to mix -

A blow up water bed is by the back door for when the UV is over 7 . . .

Molly and Anna - joined friends to paint ceramic mugs . . .

Our 5th Annual Neighborhood Pickleball Tournament!

Mike and our neighbor Mike Kerwin played doubles together . . .

St Teresas Conditioning Carpool all summer!  Fun group of 13 year olds getting up early for 8 weeks this summer to have fun, work out and do some weights!

Kate volunteered a couple weeks this summer with Imagination Camp for young kids - she loved getting creative with them while earning service hours.

It was the end of an era! After many years it was time to say goodbye to our beloved playhouse in the back yard.  Our Apple valley twin neighbors who are 2, asked if they could have it - and how could we say no!? Molly and Kate babysit for them often and so it will be fun for them to get to play in it with them while babysitting . . .

I picked up Kate's phone by accident thinking it was mine - and this was the text on it - for a split second I thought MY Mom & Dad were texting me and I got so excited. What I would give to get a text from my mom again!

Harper's annual birthday party swim party!

Kate has babysat for the Tudos family twice a week all summer in the afternoons - and has loved playing with their 3 littles (ages 1, 4, and 6). She always comes prepared with fun ideas to do with them. One day she brought over a stone making kit to do with them -

Kate and I went to the OP Farmer's Market and tried these slushies . . .
It's been a great summer so far!
