The End of the Fall Sports Seasons . . .

Final week of tennis and volleyball and this Mama is sad to see them be over . . . I truly love watching them play sports they love so much with friends they adore and coaches that are truly gifted at building these kids up! It feels like this fall season went WAY faster than any before, so a bit more sentimental this week - "and the seasons, they go round and round . . ."

Kate's team got to play their A Team tournament at Cure' and have home field advantage for the final weekend of tournament play!

We celebrated Molly lettering this year at the end of the season Tennis Banquet.
Molly won 17 matches on JV1 this year and 5 on Varsity. She only had 2 JV lost matches all season and 1 lost Varsity match. She had a GREAT season of consistent strong match play. I'm amazing at how she keeps so calm under pressure in these intense matches. She has such a steadiness about her that will serve her well in all aspects of life.

Fall Days . . .

LOVE watching Kate playing volleyball! Their team has so much spunk and spirit and I just love them all - they are so fun to root for!

Annual Cure' of Ars school carnival!

One of Kate's favorite things to do is hit the tennis ball against the garage door - sometimes she lets Bear come out and get the balls for her. He thinks it's a game and he LOVES it - never leaving her side.

It's officially chicken pot pie season!

I drove Molly and friends to the Pumpkin Patch on Sunday - it was the first day that it really felt like FALL and it was beautiful!

October Lately . . .

Life is moving fast and we are just trying to keep up!

Kate's sweet homeroom class in 7th grade this year.

It's starting to get a little cooler in the mornings and I'm so excited.

Molly had her last match of the season, playing Varsity and the longest match of the day! Every point was a LONG earned one and she stayed steadfast and WON!

Mike and I had a "Day Date" on a Monday when the girls were in school and we went to the iFLY place just a few miles from our house to see what it felt like to be still in gravity!
It was so cool!

Molly and friends at Friday night SJA football game!
Love how they have different themes every week!

Love Fall walks with the Bear . . .

My friend Jen Cisar and I took our girls to
see the "Life of a Showgirl" sing along - it was so fun!
Kate and I have been listening to Taylor's 12th album release NON stop!

Only a few more sleeps until it truly looks like fall around here!

I invited my sweet god-daughter, Cecilia Flanagan, over to play one morning. We made homemade playdoh, danced, laughed a lot, and played hide and seek with the Bear!

Kate is 13!

I can't believe but we officially have TWO teenagers in the house!

Kate turned 13 today and we loved celebrating her!

She chose to go to Jack Stack Barbecue for dinner
and then we came home to open her gifts!

Time please slow down!!

These are the days . . .

Tennis Season is My Favorite!

Molly has played a LOT of tennis matches/tournaments this season - but my favorite are the all day matches that go from 8:00 a.m. to dinner time! I'm just in awe at how much stamina they girls have to play such tough matches all day long. This Bonner Springs Invitational was on October 1st and it was a HOT one! Molly played #1 singles all day and got first place of the 8 schools that were there! I was SO proud of her!

My sweet friend Katy Unruh came out to
Bonner Springs to watch Molly with me!
