Our Week in Pix . . .

A very fun last week of July around here . . .

Meg and I took our 6th graders to Chiefs Training Camp to see all our favorites practicing in person!  We are SO ready for football season to begin after winning the Super Bowl the last two seasons!

The girls made a Bucket List sign in hopes that Travis Kelce or Mahomes would see it!

A full morning at camp!

Zinnias are still growing like crazy - enough for a full
bouquet or two a week! It's fun to give to friends!

Big summer thunderstorm - lots of limb damage . . .

Molly and her Cure' crew met for lunch since they've all been doing their HS workouts all over this summer and haven't seen each other much!

Vivian, Georgia, Molly heading to meet
the rest of the girls at Meadowbrook -

Kate is always laying on Bear or snuggling with Bear . . .
"Mom, he's my BEST FRIEND."
Love how he wraps his paws around her arm.

We made homemade ice-cream one night!

Mike and I hosted our Dinner Club on our back patio Saturday night - which is always so much fuN! Got this idea to make a natural mosquito repellent with essential oils and rosemary from the garden - it smelled great and worked!

Batting Practice with Bobby Witt Jr.!!

A beautiful Monday at the ballpark!  We were lucky enough to get to go 3 hours before the game to be on the field for batting practice and we were so excited to see all our favorite Royals players up close!

We got to watch Vinnie Pasquantino hit for awhile . . .

And were hopeful one of the players would see us and sign the girls balls . . .

And guess who spotted them and walked right over?
Bobby Witt Jr! Our favorite player!!!!

He was SO nice!

THRILLED!

Mike was excited too!

Thanks Bobby! We LOVE watching you play!

Really nice guy and a future hall of famer!

Priceless . . .

We had some time to spend before the game started so we went through the Royals museum which was so impressive! Can't believe it's been 10 years since were were in the World Series!
What a time to be a Royals fan!

Our Week in Pictures . . .

Mike and Kate mountain biked at Clinton Lake by Lawrence.
Kate was in heaven!

My flower garden is so fun to pick each week!

We had the Cisars over for dinner . . .

Molly and her Cure' friends all met for lunch at the Meadowbrook Market.

We went to the Farmer's Market . . .

I took Bear to our favorite dog park/hike on a gorgeous Sunday . . .

Kate and her friend Cece decorated/painted the driveway with chalk.

Kate made a bike obstacle course for Mike and I - and in fine
form, I fell on my bike trying to complete it.

Silver Dollar City!

We spent the ENTIRE day at Silver Dollar City and had way more fun than we anticipated - literally there from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. SO much for all ages to do - and all the water rides kept us cool in the heat all day long!
We rode this one twice - was a white water rafting ride and we were already soaked from a water gun shoot out - so why not!?

First ride of the day, the brand new FIRE IN THE HOLE!

The older girls rode this insane ride - where they pull you up and down SUPER FAST - was hard to even watch!

Our favorite memory of the day - the water gun shoot out ride where you ride in this little boat and shoot water guns at people and then the people on the street, like the girls here were after our ride - can shoot at you in return!  Grandpa Don didn't ride this one with us and he quickly found the guns to shoot us and it was so funny watching him run from gun to gun to get us and the girls had fun shooting him!

We were all soaked when we got off and laughing so hard - the girls right away went to the guns on the sidewalk to shoot the next people on the ride!

Drying off . .

The older girls rode all the INSANE roller coasters, often riding multiple times in a row - this Powder Keg was one of them - and it shot out SO fast!

Pix from the ride! Ha!

Their faces the first time they got off the ride! It was 99 degrees out but they were keeping cool with these rides!

Fun Aunt Sarah rode this one with Kate . . .

Waiting for the train to pass through . . .

The older girls rode this one at least 4x - the huge barn swing which was hard to get pix of - but let's just say there is NO way any of us adults were going to do it!

A beautiful park!

Kate really liked this roller coaster, so I rode it with her 3x! It was more "my speed" -
fast, but not upside down!

Kate's arms in the air!

Was so fun to have Grandpa Don with us!!!

The swings!

Miss Kate's!

Mike, Sarah and Mark explored the Marvel Cave, at the entrance to the park and what Silver Dollar City started out around!
