March Goes Out with a Bang!

Track Season starts in 3rd Grade (5 short distance running events) and Kate and her friends were all about it! I was so excited for them, but they didn't have a coach. So, guess who is the 3rd Grade Girls Track Coach for 2022? Me! I'm loving it!! We practice at Rockhurst High School twice a week and I have 7 girls on the team and I am so impressed already with their hard work ethic and enthusiasm! I hope to teach them some of the lessons I learned from all my years in track and cross country. One of my all time favorite sports!

Warm ups!

Lemonade Season has officially started!

The Dorings have baby bunnies! Kate got to hold the tiniest of the litter!

Hoops after school with Molly and friends . . .

When her friend Victoria came over to play and they were wearing matching outfits!

Pure silliness  . . .

Victoria, Campbell, Molly, Kate

I don't even ask anymore . . .

Bear with his baby squirrel toy that he LOVES. He treats it like his baby and when we ask where his baby is, he runs to get it.

Unlike his other stuffed animals he never bites it or tries to destroy it. He licks it (a LOT) and just holds it and sometimes sets it in front of us so we can also say HI and hold it.

He even brings it in the car with him to school pick up. He's such a good daddy to his baby!

Disney After Dark: Our Last Night

We headed back to Magic Kingdom around dinner time to score a good spot for the evening shows, parades and the epic fireworks and music show at 9:00. We were starting to get a bit sad about it being our last night at Disney. It has been an amazing week of wonderful family time, playing all day, every day! We had SO.MUCH.FUN.

These shows are truly fantastic!

And we're off to ride a few more rides, as Magic Kingdom stays up later than all the other parks! The girls wanted to ride Pirates of the Caribbean again and Thunder Mountain in the dark!! So we all did them!

And one last turn on Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride!

Even more magical at night!

Heading Home . . .

Goodbye Disneyworld! It's been magical!

Disney Day 6: Magic Kingdom (Last Day)

We were excited to do Magic Kingdom again for the 2nd day on our last day at Disney (Friday)! We knew the rides we wanted to do again and the ones we hadn't done yet and were ready to go bright and early!

This is what our resort walk looked like every morning at 7:00 a.m. heading to either the bus stop (Magic Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Animal Kingdom) or the Skyliner (Epcot, Hollywood Studios)
. It was a gorgeous early morning short walk and Mike went ahead of us to get coffee for him and tea for me each morning. Then would meet us at the stop!

Skyliner above us.

Getting in line at Magic Kingdom!

Our magic bands are on and ready! We used these all week to get on all the rides, get into our hotel room, as well as to pay for all our food! We loved them!

Racing to the rope drop to get on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train before there is a huge line!

View never gets old, even when race walking by early in the morning.

We made it!

Kate begged to do this one again, I swear!
Love this picture though!!!

Next up, AstroOrbiter in Tomorrowland which we didn't get to last Sunday. . .

Made me a bit dizzy - but it was fine!

Next up: Thunder Mountain! This one was my favorite one to ride when I was a kid, so I wanted to do it so bad but was scared. Mike and the girls road it first and they LOVED it. Kate told me I could do it so we got in line again and did it all together the 2nd time!

Fearless girls.

Just as much fun as I remember - my favorite ride at Magic Kingdom still!

This camel by the Aladdin Magic Carpet ride - made us laugh. He spits water out every couple minutes. Friday was in the 80's and the warmest day of the week so the girls wanted to stop and get soaked by the camel's (clean) spit.

Jumping with joy!

Then a mid morning ice-cream treat!

And another parade going by!

Loved this piano player!

Next up- Splash Mountain! This is the ONLY ride they all did, that I didn't do. Just didn't want to get soaked early in the day . . .

Gulp.

Kate said this was her favorite ride! They loved it!

Another parade going by!

Loved the fairy godmothers on hover boards so they glided through the crowd . . .

Making a wish!

After lunch, we headed back to our hotel pool for a mid day swim! It felt so good!

Then back to the park for the evening . . .

Another parade!

Getting their light up bracelets ready for when the sun goes down!
