Saturday Morning, Travel Day Home . . .

Molly and I took a "Yoga on the Beach" class right next to our resort on Saturday morning.
It was a wonderful way to start our travel day home . . .
although it did make it a little harder to leave!

Just gorgeous!

Yoga on this firm sand might be my new favorite.

Then, a stop at my favorite breakfast spot on the island - Watusi Cafe - and then off to the airport! We will miss you, South Carolina and Georgia! Thanks for the southern hospitality!

Day 5 -from Sunrise to Sunset

Thurday night I asked the family if anyone would like to get up at 5:45 a.m. with me to watch the sun rise over the ocean. The girls quickly chimed in that they would!  I was thrilled!  So we set our alarms, and hopped out of bed and headed down to the water . . .

Beautiful view!

There were several other groups along the beach that were there to watch it as well - but we had our own little space to ourselves . . .

It was so peaceful!

Back to the resort for iced tea!  My favorite thing about the south!  They have ICED TEA everywhere!!! You have to find and pay for your coffee, but TEA is plentiful and free!  It's like the opposite of everywhere else we've ever been! I was in heaven!

Surfer girl . . .

Friday afternoon the pool had an acoustic singer entertaining everyone by the pools and he was so good - I didn't want the day to end!

Our last night we had dinner reservations in Sea Pines at Quarterdeck. It was a beautiful view and the food was delicious!

Our new favorite southern appetizer!

Exploring around the marina waiting for our Sunset Dolphin Cruise to take off . . .

Us.

The Girls.

Clouds coming in - but I refuse to believe they will cancel our sunset cruise because I am just so excited about it.

Remaining hopeful . . . (It's just passing thru)

Sunset cruise was cancelled. : (

But we still had fun!

Fifteen . . .

This week has been WONDERFUL family time!
Love our family!

Hilton Head - Day 4

We rented bikes on Thursday and it was SO MUCH FUN!  The island is just small enough that you can ride everywhere by bike and they have SO many cool bike trails - and you can ride them along the water on the beach too! I was in heaven!

Love this view!

We saw lots of alligators and a snake or two . . .

We rode all the way to Harbour Town to the legendary lighthouse!

We climbed to the top to enjoy the view!

Sea Pines Golf Resort . . .

Loved these shells . . .

We had lunch at the Quarterdeck Market and sat outside . . .

Did a little shopping/exploring . . .

Then, back to our bikes to explore on the way home . . .

Baby alligators!

The homes in Sea Pines were GORGEOUS!

Back to the hotel for a quick swim before dinner . . .
After dinner we stopped to get Salt Water Taffy, which reminded us all of Grandma JoJo and listening to the girls laugh and try different flavors in the back seat of the car on the way "home" - is a memory I never want to forget.

Late night pool chats with Kate . . .
