Real generosity towards the future lies in giving it all to the present. This is our life - as we live it.

Kate's 1st Play Date by Herself!
Kate went over to Olivia's house today (Big sister Ellie was at camp and Molly ran an errand with me) for her first official Play Date on her own. They strolled their babies in their strollers and had so much fun playing with all their big sisters toys while they were not around for once! Are they adorable or what?!?!

Sound of Music at Starlight!
Molly has been so into musicals this summer and loves The Sound of Music so much - when I saw there were still seats left for the show this past weekend, I invited a few girlfriends and their daughters to join us for a Girls Night at Starlight!!
{Kalyn & Ellie, Me & Molly, Allison & Lauren, Lindsay & Caroline}
After a restroom stop and the littles had their water and popcorn, the Mamas had to stop for "Mommy Fruit Shakes" - :)
Molly picked out her outfit for the show and asked me to braid her "hair in braids with blue bows like Gretl's!"Gretl is the youngest of all the Van Trapp children and Molly's favorite character.
It was a GORGEOUS night under the stars - 78 degrees and no humidity - it was perfect!
Molly was mesmerized the entire show - on the edge of her seat!!
She kept checking her program to see who was playing each character . . .
This was definitely one of my favorite times ever with Molly - it was so fun to enjoy the show through her eyes!
We stayed until the very end - standing ovation at 11:00 p.m.!
Molly said, "I'm way too excited to be sleepy!!"

We Love the Farmer's Market in July!
We love the Farmer's Market from May through October on Wednesday mornings . . . but in late July/early August we love it even MORE - as the produce is overflowing with yummy goodness! Everything is ripe and fresh and so delicious! This morning we tried lots of samples and came home with a basket full of yummy fruits and veggies to last us all week!
Kate wanted to get these cute little carrots - so we made her
carry them herself, which she didn't mind!
Molly saw these white and purple peppers and was so excited to carry them in her basket . . .
Look at these super long green beans! They look like Rapunzel's hair!
Did I mention that Kate really liked the samples: blackberries, peaches, cherry tomatoes . . .
We ran into our friend McKinley there with her Mom and little brother too . . .
And since it was warm outside and no live music playing today, I let the girls get all wet in the fountain - they had a blast and washed their fruits/veggies in the water! We love Summer!

FSBO - Sold!
So, with Mike taking over the clinic in Louisburg, Kansas a year ago - we have known for a year that we wanted to move further south to shorten his commute to work. He just works a 4-day week, but they are long days and then adding the drive - 45 minutes each way, it's long. With Molly starting kindergarten in a year (gulp!)- it's also a good time to move so that she can stay with the same group of friends from Kindergarten through 8th grade just as Mike and I both did. We are both still close to the friends we
met in kindergarten 35 years ago!
Anyway, we had an unusual amount of interest in our home this summer, not being on the market - and even though we haven't found a house to move to yet - we thought maybe we should sell it so we are prepared and ready to move when we do find the right house! So, 4th of July morning (Friday) I put a quick FSBO sign in our yard and put together a very quick little website with pix of our home on it and details - Our FSBO Site!
Well, to make a long story short - we had quite a bit of interest and our house officially SOLD 5 days later, on Tuesday evening! A month ago we had no idea we were going to sell our house this year, let alone be moving in the near future! God is in charge and it's so exciting to see what he has in store for us . . .
When our buyer came for her 2nd showing, she brought these daisies from her yard-
When she came for the inspections, she brought these hydrangeas from her yard - so yeah, I was loving her to say the least.
Then, when she came to finalize the contract - she brought us some more
cucumbers from her garden-
cucumbers from her garden-
It was a wonderful experience - she did not have a realtor either. We discussed and negotiated on our own and it was a win-win all around! Love knowing our home is going to someone so sweet, so smart and such a good person! I know she will cherish this home just as we have. She told me what sealed the deal for her is when she saw this poem from Mother Theresa I keep framed in our bathroom - as it is one of her all-time favorites as well.
