Cousin Day!

The first Cousin Day of the summer at our house! My cousin's daughters and my girls played non-stop ALL DAY long . . . outside, in basement, in their rooms - talking, giggling, etc. Love these girls together! They are technically 2nd cousins, but they just say they are cousins!

We made homemade pizzas for lunch . . . just so we could hear 3-year old Ella say pepperonis again.

{Molly - 9, Ella - 3, Haley - 5, Kate - 6, Katie - 7}

Lunch! They asked me to go inside so they could have a "Cousin Talk"

We made play-doh in the afternoon - they all wanted their own unique colors. Ella wanted me to take a pix of the "cake!"

Love this crew.

Kate's Turn for T-Ball!

A beautiful Memorial Day night for Kate's first ever t-ball practice! The head coach invited the whole team over with their families for a grill out after practice! Was so much fun! Wish we could do this each week for practice! We didn't leave until dark!

Playing catch with Daddy . .  .

First Week of Summer!!!

Love watching them play together without them seeing me . . . they can play for HOURS sometimes.

I spied them doing yoga outside my bathroom window . . .

Sisters have the BEST talks in trees . . .

Swinging on a star . . .

We have taken LOTS of bike rides this week!

Driving home from friends houses or the park as it starts to rain is our favorite part! We got caught in the rain 3x this week on our bikes! Here is Kate trying to catch a sip of water on her tongue as she is DYING of thirst, if you didn't know.

The girls held a flea market booth at the locally owned kids toy store in our 'hood. They were in charge of the entire thing and had so much fun seeing some of their younger toys go to cute little girls, excited to buy it from them!

Little entrepreneurs . . . they called themselves the "Sweet Sisters" and wore all pink and gave away gumballs to all their shoppers.

Kate didn't waste any time spending the money she earned - and this called for a brand new mood ring.

We dog sat for our neighbors chocolate lab, Choxie, the last few days and he was wonderful!

The girls took turns feeding him and walking him, picking up his poop and everything.

We got detailed instructions from his owners.

So, one day Kate gave me "her list" of instructions for her "animals" in her room - for when she is at school or camp for a day this summer.

"Get Trace's food.
Brush Roxy's fur.
Feed the owl.
Brush the unicorn's hair.
Smooth the horse's hair.
Cuddle with Rocky.
Put Rocky in his bed.
Play with Puddles.
Put Puddles in his bed."

She told me she did this list every day twice - so I've got big shoes to fill.

This is what our kitchen island has looked like all week and I have a feeling it will look like this all summer - which is fine with me. I LOVE having them home and hearing their giggles.

Kate climbed on top of the slide and pushed it to our bathroom window to spy on me getting ready . . . "Mom, mom!?!? Mom, where are you???"
Hello Summer!

Our Weekend.

The weather was perfect for some park time and sunshine!

Hot enough to get wet in the sprinklers to cool off!

This one still loves flying over the monkey bars . . .

We stopped at the library for a fresh pile of new books to read! This was the first book Kate found - I literally laughed out loud when I saw it. Nothing like preparing ahead of time. She was so excited to read it, she couldn't even make it home to open it up.

Fun at the Apple store . . .

Finally cleaned out their backpacks and found this gem! Love teachers who recognize kids in more ways than just academics!

I was given a rainbow {play-doh} cake!

We hosted friends for dinner . . .

Grilling in the rain . . .

Sister sleepovers have begun for the summer!

Kindergarten Graduation for Kate

I know it seems silly to celebrate a Graduation from Kindergarten but this Mama is soaking up every single one of these milestones and moments as they go so fast - and life should be celebrated along the way, it's too short already!

Kate with her homemade construction paper hat, posing with the best Kindergarten teacher ever there was, Mrs. Emily Leavey - who both girls were blessed to have for Kindergarten!

With Mrs. Leavey's Kindergarten Class - 4 Kindergarten classes total at Cure' of Ars right now with 78 kids in the grade all together.

Victoria and Kate

The Silly Girls of Mrs. Leavey's Class
(They named themselves this back in September and have been besties ever since)
{Kate, Vivian, Victoria, Harper}

Vivian, Marek, Kate having ice cream to celebrate after the ceremony!
I LOVE their entire class of kids!

A shot of my little one before she changes into shorts and cowboy boots for the summer . . .

Oh darling, don't you ever grow up . . .

These are the days . . .
