Last Weekend of November.

The day after Thanksgiving, we started to slowly get out the Christmas decor!

Molly + Kate put on a very fancy show for me in the basement . . .

So weird to see them in my high heels . . .

On Saturday, Mike and the girls drove to Omaha for the day to visit his parents safely outside for a few hours.

I stayed home to watch Bear since he can't be left for more than 2 hours at a time yet -

And he helped me decorate the house a little more for the holidays!

A stocking just for him this year!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas . . .

Hot cocoa bar all ready for the girls!

Bear loves walking at night to see the Christmas lights!

And he loves to listen to Kate play songs on the piano . . .

The girls helped Mike hang Christmas lights on Sunday afternoon . . .

Thanksgiving in Kansas City!

With the Panemic still going on, we were not able to travel to see family this Thanksgiving - so we celebrated just the 4 of us at HOME in Kansas City! It was such a wonderful day - being thankful for our many blessings and grateful for each other!

We started roasting the turkey early and the house smelled amazing all day long!

We had a morning video call with the Reichenberger side of the family - and then a late afternoon video call with the McGinnis side - was great to visit and see their faces, even if it was virtually!

Bear helped me with the cooking . . .

We took a family hike before the big dinner - as it was gorgeous outside and sweatshirt only weather!

They always find trees to climb . . .

Bear wanted to play too -

Found a stick!!!

We made our own grateful lists for the table this year . . . .

And Kate made place cards for everyone . . .

The food was coming together . . .

We made some classic traditional recipes to enjoy with our turkey, but also included a few new recipes - like this one, Bacon nut crusted green beans (delicious!).

Thanksgiving Feast Prep!

It was the night before Thanksgiving, and we were prepping the French Toast Bake for the morning . . .

And cuddling with Bear . . .

Sister Sleepover in Kate's room . . .

The Pup.

Our puppy is sure getting a LOT OF LOVE around here. We have now had him
over 7 weeks and he is 3.5 months old.

This is how he naps next to me when
I'm working at the computer while the girls at school.

He got his first puppy trim - in time for Thanksgiving!

He gives lots of hugs!
