Sesame Street Live!!

We arrived early to the Sprint Center downtown - for our 1st time at Sesame Street LIVE! We heard they had a Playzone for the kids to experience before the show! Here is Molly right when we got there - SOOO excited!

Some of the characters from Sesame Street came out to the Playzone early to welcome all the kids!

Took Molly a little time to warm up . . . they were BIG and really CLOSE!

We met her friend, Lucy, in the Playzone! Lucy was a little nervous too . . .

They got to play Elmo's piano!!!

Time to take our seat for the big show! We sat right by her good friend, Ainslie, and her mom and dad and were lucky enough to get seats in the 3rd row!!

Show is starting!!!

Today's Post is Brought to You by the Color GREEN!

Molly has loved the color green since she was about 1.5 and she was first learning her colors. She always gravitated to it and early on, every color (to her) was green. Then, as she got closer to age 2 she started acknowledging that indeed - there are other colors in the rainbow - not as cool as green obviously, but they DO exist.

Recently, green has become an OBSESSION. It's *NOT* a good day when her green spoon is dirty, Molly's green cup is in the dishwasher, her green shoes are getting too tight and her green beads are lost. Don't ask me how long we've spent looking for her one remaining green barrette for her hair. (How is it that we lose SO many barrettes?)

Lucky for us, St. Patty's Day is coming up - this girl is Irish - and I see wearing of the green a lot in her future!

Celebrating More Babies!

Two more moms from Molly's Playgroup are expecting another bambino next month - so we all celebrated with a Diaper shower again! A new mom can ALWAYS use more diapers!

Maggie hosted everyone at her house again - and is truly the most creative host! Love all her little touches!

After the kids filled up on cookies and cake - they were ready to turn the kitchen into a dance floor!

SO.MUCH.FUN! So excited for the new babies to get here!!

Making Lasagna

Daddy asked Molly to help him make lasagna yesterday - and Molly was SO happy to help - as you know she LOVES to help out in the kitchen with cooking and baking! She kept telling me, I so essited, mama!

I tried to stay out of their way and was in the other room, but snuck in a couple times to take pix!

YUMMY!!! Mike makes the BEST lasagna!

Monkey'ing Around with Daddy!

Daddy and Molly went to Little Monkey Bizness to play at their open gym this morning. They had a blast - Molly is just now getting into these indoor climbing gyms and it's great to see her get out her energy on these COLD winter days, when it is too cold for us to play outside.

I asked Mike to bring along the camera and catch a few shots . . . I love the photos he took!

More Molly'isms . . . age 2 years, 2 months

Molly has yet to grasp how to use the negative in sentence structure - so if she does NOT want to do something or is trying to say NO, that's not what happened - she starts the entire sentence with NO (which then we should assume whatever is to follow is the opposite of what she says.) :)

Example: NO - I have Kix cereal too with mommy and daddy at the table today.

(Translation: I do not want to have Kix.)

Example: NO - I put on my shoes to go to the park with mommy and look for doggies right now.

(Translation: I do not want to put on my shoes.)

She describes tiny things or kid sized-things as Molly size.

Example: Oh! Look at my strawberry! It's Molly-size mama!

(Translation: It is a smaller strawberry than the others.)

She says "Good Idea" a LOT, always in context. But to her, the world must be FULL of really GOOD IDEAS!

Example: That's a GOOD IDEA, mama!

(Translation: Wow, mom! You are so smart to think of using a kleenex on my nose!)

When she falls or stumbles on the stairs, or drops something she's carrying - she almost ALWAYS says "Oh dear!"

Example: While dropping a toy she's carrying - Oh de'ar! Oh dear . . .

Favorite activities: Building forts, stickers, playing piano, playing pretend (kitchen and baby dolls)

Favorite *only* TV shows: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!, Sesame Street, Yo Gabba Gabba

Dinner with Kelly & Anthony!

Our dear friends, Kelly & Anthony Hancox invited us over for dinner last night. They just moved into a new *gorgeous* home so it was very exciting for the 3 of us to get our first tour!

Molly (of course) was most excited to play with their adorable dog, Champ.

Within about 5 minutes of arriving - Molly & Champ were playing like old friends.

Molly with Kelly & Anthony . . . these two are probably one of the most generous couples I know - in every way. So happy Molly gets to know them now too!
