Wintertime During a Pandemic . . .

Lots of indoor projects on these January weekends and holidays off school . . .

Both girls painted some cute X's and O's to decorate their rooms for Valentine's Day . . .

I hosted a Virtual "Winter Skincare tips" Open House which is always a bit nerve-wracking! Online is great for these times when we can't meet in person, but also hard to speak to hundreds at once without getting direct feedback or eye contact. I did my best and the girls and Mike helped keep Bear away.

I wore the ring Molly gave me for Christmas for good luck - LOVE it.

Lots of long walks in the winter sunshine, bundled up warm!

Bears is getting better and better with walking on a leash.

Kate had a mild upset tummy one day and Bear took good care of her - putting his paw on her leg so she couldn't get up.

Molly's basketball game was held at the local all girls Catholic High School - Notre Dame de Sion. These 5th Graders thought it was cool to play in a big high school gym!

Seeing friends in their cars while leaving the game . . .

Bear loves to lay in Kate's bed when she's reading . . .

We've loved cheering on our Chiefs football team during Playoffs this month!!

Kate put on her Nebraska cheerleading uniform since it's the same colors as the Chiefs!

She asked me to teach her some cheerleading cheers and cheered hard the entire game!!

"Mom, take my cheerleading picture for the Chiefs program."

Bear didn't understand what all the Sunday night fuss was about . . .

Special Chocolate Molten Cake for half-time!

Molly set the table . . .

Bear is a trooper.

The whole city is going RED for the Chiefs!!!!
Superbowl Bound for the 2nd year in a row!!

Bear certainly gets a lot of love at school pick-up every day from all the kids!
His tail wags like CRAZY!
{Molly, Vivian, Anna saying HI!}

Winter walks with Bear have been a good excuse
to get fresh air every day for all of us!

Cozy January Days . . .

Our fireplace in our front room is back in service and just in time for these COLD January days . . . so very cozy to sit by the fire.

Bear LOVES Kate's bed and any chance he gets, he hops up on the end of it. She loves it and often asks his help in picking out her clothes.

She likes to read to him too.

Molly spoiled us with a fancy breakfast last Saturday . . .

My paper white bulbs are growing fast - a great sign of hope in 2021.

Bear does this every time I get my yoga mat out - he loves yoga just as much as me!

Piano practicing . . .

My co-worker when the girls are at school . . .

Basketball is back in action!!!! So happy to get to watch Molly play again!

Molly has been re-designing her room lately (on her shoestring budget) and I love her style and vision.

Very simple, clean and modern and she knows what she likes right away.

Kate has been making imovies on her ipad. "Quiet on the set!"

The girls have had a few days off of school this month for various holidays and I've loved having them walk Bear with me during the day . . .

This is where Bear sits and waits for Mike to get home from work every night.

Anna, Molly and Vivian walking to basketball practice . . .

Bear - once again waiting on his Dad to get home from work.
He just stares at the door starting around 6:30 p.m. every night . . .

Kate set up her desk to be a sort of a lab or lie detector/quiz station?!
Enter with caution. "Future spy."

Snowy walks with Bear.

My pick up from school buddy -

He loves to sit with me and watch all the kids come out.

Kate's submission for the School Yearbook Contest - let's cross our fingers she wins!

Watching our Chiefs play in the play-offs has been so exciting!!
GO MAHOMES!!!

Sledding in Our Front Yard

Our front yard makes for a great sledding hill - so after the snow started falling steadily, our friends and their whole families showed up to sled and it was a lot of fun!!! I made hot cocoa with peppermint and marshmallows "to go" for everyone outside and we played for hours!

Kate + Ruby

Anna + Molly

Kate was so excited to have someone finally want to have a Snowball Fight with her!

Bear had to come in for awhile to let all the kids and neighbor kids play and he was so sad, watching through the window at all the fun.

Climbing trees - even in snow boots.

Bear was still playing in it days later when the girls were back to school . . .

"I didn't eat it, Mom! I swear!"
