First day of swim lessons yesterday and the teacher pointed to the class for Molly to go with and then she looked at Kate and said, "You will be with Mr. Seth over there." Kate exclaimed (very loudly), "Oh I LOVE boy teachers!"

MOYC Winter Welcome at Our House!

Funny story - Our Mothers of Young Children group has a Winter Welcome every January at church where we play Bunko and celebrate the New Year and welcome any new members. It was planned for last night at church but when the girls got there to start setting up, the Knights of Columbus were already there, eating dinner!  They called me as I was just getting out the shower at literally 6:40 p.m. - Event started at 7:00 p.m. and Mike was still at work. :) I said, Put a note on the door and tell everyone to come here!" So, with literally 5 minutes before my house was packed with people, I quickly got dressed and told Molly & Kate to go upstairs and put on their pajamas - called Mike to tell him what he would be walking into when he got home - and everyone rolled with it! It turned out to be such a fun night and I had the BEST excuse for my dirty house - I literally had NO idea anyone was coming over in 5 minutes  - let alone 40 people!! Cheers to last minute get togethers!

The 3 of us were the last night clean-up crew! So fun!

Christmas in January!

We re-created Christmas on Saturday afternoon/evening with Mike's parents!  The girls were oh so eager to get to exchange gifts with Grandma & Grandpa Pat!

We had a cozy Christmas dinner at home - Spinach Cranberry Salad, Turkey, Roasted Winter Vegetables, Buttered Corn and Chocolate Molten Cake for dessert!

Molly wrote place cards for everyone and I used my snowflake napkin holders -so perfect for the cold snowy day!

Grandma & Grandpa Pat are here!

Mike's parents came to stay with us for a long weekend - celebrating a late Christmas!  It was wonderful to have them here - here are just a few snippets of the fun we had!

The girls were playing Wizard of Oz before mass Sunday morning - Kate was Toto in case you can't tell . . .

They got to participate in the Rose Procession signifying life at the Respect Life mass this morning! So impactful - always makes me tear up to see all the kids carrying roses.

Breaking the wish bone this afternoon - I think they thought if you close your eyes REALLY tight you have a better chance of you wish coming true!
