End of 5th Grade + Start of Summer!

Mother's Day flowers from Mike and the girls, still looking gorgeous!

Kate's last flag football game of the season! She LOVED it!

Some of the team . . .
{Izzy, Kate, Vivian, Lottie, Harper, Ruby, Lucy}

Kate and friends from her class did a Sunday shopping day at Sephora, thanks to Nora's mom!

{Victoria, Cece, Ruby, Kate, Nora}

Feels like summer  - love these gorgeous evenings in the 70's . . .

Cece's 11th Birthday!

Kate and I explored at the park after dinner - and found the cutest little toad.

Love to explore with her . . . she's so curious.

These are the days I'll remember . . .

We dog sat for a week for our neighbor dog, Charley Girl.

She made herself right at home, taking over Bear's bed and loving all his toys.
Bear was very patient and sweet.

They both wanted to take Kate to school her last few days of 5th grade . . .

Only 1 day left of school! Jumping for JOY as I grill dinner . . .

Last Day = Field Day!
So happy to get to help with it the 10th year in a row!
I LOVE FIELD DAY and this year it was GORGEOUS weather.

Girls against boys! GIRLS WON!!!!

First Day of Summer Pool Party at Harper's pool!

Such a sweet crew of girls!

Molly and Kate both took turns dog walking Charley Girl, sometimes going together if the timing worked out. Molly babysat a lot while Kate was finishing up school.

Another after dinner walk around the 'hood - another day for Kate to climb a tree.

Pool is OPEN! We are ready!

One of my all time favorite summer views -
all of our beach towels drying on the back porch.
These are the days . . .

Molly's Graduation from Cure' of Ars!

It was the end of a decade . . .
Last night Molly graduated after 9 years at Cure' of Ars Catholic School! A bittersweet night for sure - as all these kids are scattering to 6 different High Schools. This has been her school, her community her sports teams, her church and her neighborhood for over a decade! She has known many since she was a baby in MOYC playgroups and preschool soccer teams!

Grandpa Don came in town for the celebrations and we were so grateful!
It had rained off/on all day but stopped just before the ceremony and it was a BEAUTIFUL night!

Molly and I went together to have our nails done for the special occasion!
I loved Molly's nails!

Kate and her friend Harper, chatting while saving seats before the ceremony . . .

Can't believe this is happening - it all went so fast!

Molly's turn! She has gone to school with these 70 kids since Kindergarten, and known some of them since she was a baby in MOYC playgroups and playdates!

Love these girls!  They did it! And now they get to go to their dance in the school cafeteria, hugging each other and dancing until late in the night - promising they will stay friends forever, wherever life takes them!

These 5 besties are going to 4 different High Schools!
{Campbell - Sion, Vivian - Saint James, Margaret - St. Teresas,

Molly's Graduation Morning . . .

Love all the Cure' of Ars Graduation traditions and fun for us to experience all with Molly this year for the first time. Monday started with a beautiful all school mass at 9:00 a.m. where Father Story gave a wonderful homily about always stay close to their faith and that Cure' of Ars will always be HOME. Volunteer hour awards were given as well as high school scholarships announced.

After mass, the 8th graders walked over to the gym for a special Class Brunch, where they had a delicious meal, while visiting with friends and watching their class slide show on the big screen.

{Emory, Anna, Georgia, Vivian, Molly}
{Annie, Allie, Campbell, Margaret}

The gym was decorated so lovely.

Parents who helped with the brunch - Tara and I just made the video.

{Me, Ashley, Jen, Caroline, Tara}

Wish I could share the video - but this class pix will have to do . . .

Grandpa Don came in town for the celebrations, so after brunch was over, we went to Top Golf to have some fun! (Kate was in school still, for another 10 days!)

She's got a great natural swing. Obviously she DOES not get this from me.

Grandpa Don giving pointers to anyone who wants to listen.
