Real generosity towards the future lies in giving it all to the present. This is our life - as we live it.

Disney on Ice!
We brought the girls to the highly anticipated - Disney on Ice Show - at the Sprint Center this morning! Molly has been lucky to get to go the past two years and plays Disney on Ice all the time in our dining room - asking me to move the table, she puts on her various costumes and wears socks so she can "skate" and she introduces each song/dance and comes out from the "waiting area" for each new song. Needless to say, she is a FAN. She was so excited for the show, which made it exciting and fun for all 4 of us!
Molly picked out she and Kate's attire before we left . . .
Kate didn't have any idea what to expect - she just knew her sister was excited so she was too!
Looking at all the cool merchandise - but happy to report we did not buy a thing - we even popped our popcorn at home to take with us! This wasn't my first time at the rodeo! ;)
Love her smile . . .

Fun with Gretchen!
I had a doctor appt yesterday so I asked Gretchen if she could watch the girls for me. It was my first time dropping Kate off somewhere and from the minute we walked in the door - she was off playing with Andrew (2) and couldn't care less that I was leaving. Made me so happy that she's OK on her own - but also a little sentimental that she's growing up way.too.fast. Gretchen's sister, Sara, was visiting from Chicago on Spring Break along with her kids, Megan (8) and Michael (10). They made pizzas for lunch and Molly was in awe of Megan of course - she even taught Molly how to make Rainbow Loom bracelets. Here are a few pix that Gretchen sent me from her phone -
After lunch, Sara asked Kate if she wanted to cuddle and Kate ran to her and within a few minutes looked like this - she's such a cuddle bug! So wonderful to have friends who are like family - thanks Ploehns! xoxo

Jump Around!
We met a few friends at Jumpin' Jax yesteday to jump around - literally! The girls had a blast - and I was amazed at how fearless Kate was - climbing in and through the biggest Jumpy Houses with the big kids. A few photos from my phone . . . not the best pix - but they sure show their JOY!

Sunday Dinner
My cousin Emily and her family came over for Sunday dinner yesterday! It was so awesome. My siser always teases me- but I truly wish my whole family lived in Kansas City and I could have everyone over every Sunday for dinner. My only hope of that happening is that Mike and I will live close to our daughters someday and we can host Sunday dinners then - I love to entertain, especially family!
My cousin's daughter Katie is 2.5 and loves dressing up like
princesses so she and Molly had a lot of fun!
Baby Hailey (7 months) and Kate (17 months) -
Super Girl and her Mermaid Apprentice!
After basketball watching, lots of playing and dinner - everyone was wiped out!
Kate, Joe and Hailey!
Kissing Cousins - {Katie Rose, Hailey, Molly, Kate}
March Madness!
We were so excited yesterday to watch 3 of our favorite teams play in the 4th round of the NCAA Basketball Tournament! First up was KU (2) and we cheered so hard for them but sadly they lost - then Wichita State (1) was a super close amazing game - but sadly a loss from Kentucky. Then finally Creighton (3) lost to Baylor who shot a better % than we have seen from any team in the tourney! They were on fire! We were bummed but we still have our spirit and there is always next year . . .
Molly asked me to get out my old HS cheerleading pom-poms for her and Kate to play with - they are HEAVY but they had fun cheering!

Our "Spring Break" Week in Pix . . .
Kate's FAVORITE book right now. We're Going on a Bear Hunt is a close second. She sits down and looks at this and points to the pictures she knows at LEAST 4x a day, every day. If she sees you sitting down - she will run and get it and jump in your lap with it - but if you are not sitting she will just sit by herself for long periods of time with it - to say it's her favorite book is almost even an under-statement - she is obsessed with this book right now!
The girls came along with me to get an oil change for the Pilot . . .
Molly took a Frozen dance class on Wednesday morning with her friends Lucy & Lauren!
Kate really wanted to go too - but she was too little. *sigh*
Little sister problems . . .
Molly made necklaces from blocks and we read lots and lots and lots of books . . .
We went to the park a couple times and enjoyed the First Official Day of Spring!!
Molly and Kate both helped me clean the house . . . of course Kate does it while also strolling her baby.
Molly helped me get everything ready for my Mom friends to come over - she loves a good party and I let her stay up until everyone arrived so she could say HI!
Lots of cuddles and tummy rubs . . . sending love and hugs to all of you!
