My Sister is Here!

My sister Sarah flew in this afternoon from Colorado!!!  So happy together . . .

Ready for Baby . . .

Molly helped me clean the Baby Room again this morning - as her baby brother or sister will be here any day now!

Molly is a great little "duster"

And of course -  "vacuuming"!

Autumn at our House . . .

I made a big pot of steak soup this morning in the crock pot - and smelling it all day has me in a "nesting mood!"  I thought I'd share some autumn scenes around our house.  I'm so unbelievably excited to bring this baby home from the hospital - I have so many memories of bringing Molly home from the hospital almost 3 years ago - in the Autumn of 2009.

Yes, I'm attempting a real pumpkin on the front porch again this year, despite squirrels eating my pumpkins every year.  But this year is different - I have "armed" this pumpkin with Pledge (see how shiny it looks?).  It's lasted 10 days/nights so far - so I'm hopeful!

Love my new front door wreath from Crate & Barrel - just the perfect pop of color!

Molly picked out these great pumpkins for our mantel - the huge orange Cinderella pumpkin and the 2 cool blue-green gourds - can't believe their gorgeous natural color - the sticks and pinecones are courtesy of our yard, of course!

Love this chunky knit throw over our blue couch - it just screams COZY!  And YES - can hardly wait to snuggle in it with my 2 kiddos . . .

I finally found a Fall Candle I LOVE! I have never cared for the pumpkin, apples baking scents that are in most Autumn candles.  This one - from Pickwick & Company is called Fall Foliage and it truly smells like FALL FOLIAGE - it literally smells like you've had the windows open all day and the leaves are falling . . .

And finally - another scene from our home - a few leaves Molly and I have collected so far this Autumn on our bulletin board in the kitchen.  Many more leaves yet to fall . . .

Molly Lately . . .

Did you see my baby in my tummy?  (pulling up her shirt to expose her tummy) It's as big as a WATERMELON!  (eyes HUGE)

Why is it called applesauce?

Isn't it a beautiful day out?

I love you like a french fry, mom!

Maybe someday - you and me and Daddy can stand in the front of church and sing songs?  I can play the microphone, you can play the piano and Daddy can play the guitar!!  That would be so much fun don't you think??

It's a happy day!!!

At nap time (at school) we are not supposed to talk - cuz then the other kids can't rest, mom.  Me:  Were you quiet during nap time so the other kids could go to sleep?
Not a LOT of quiet - just a little bit I was quiet - I was a little bit, mom.

I'm going to go hide in my castle now.
Me:  Where is your castle?
It's where my horse is - over there!!!

Molly often wakes up in the morning or after nap time and sings songs.  She sings every song she knows at the top of her lungs.  Wish I could freeze the memory in my mind - her little high voice singing sweetly.  She is so animated when she sings - and lifts up each of her babies, singing to each of them . . . The other day she dropped Minnie (Mouse) off at "school" in her bed and then held her other babies and said to them, "We are going to miss Minnie SO MUCH, but we will be back to pick her up soon!"

I often say to Molly - I (while pointing to my eye) LOVE (while crossing my chest) YOU (pointing to her).  Today I overheard her going around to all of her "babies" saying this to each one while doing the hand motions . . . too sweet.

Going to a Birthday Party . . .

Molly and I went to her friend Ainslie's 3rd Birthday party this morning - as you can see Molly was super excited to celebrate her friend turning 3!  She dressed herself today and I love how she chose to accessorize . . .lots of necklaces as you can see, and of course - green headband and green shoes to complete the look.

Bump Update - 38 Weeks!

Mike and Molly took this pix of me this morning at the Plaza Art Fair - 38 weeks today!
Am I ready to POP or what??  I sure feel like it!

2012 Plaza Art Fair!

After church this morning we hurried down to the Plaza Art Fair!  It was a GORGEOUS morning on the Plaza and the Art Fair was already packed!

We were so excited to have another beautiful day to enjoy - just the 3 of us - before this little bambino arrives!  Plus, it's the 1st FULL day of Autumn!

We met up with our friends Monica, Blaine & Jacob too!

Molly and Jacob loved all the fountains . . .

 And the music . . .

And the food . . .

It was one of those days that you do NOT want to end . . . the sun is shining, 70 degrees out, lots of good food/drink, art, music and friends!  What more could you ask for?

Last Royals Game of the Season . . .

Mike took Molly to one last Royals game for the season last night!  The weather was BEAUTIFUL and they had such a fun time at the ballpark!  They got there early so Molly could ride the carousel which she loves!  They still got in their seats early and were able to see George Toma inducted into the Royals Hall of Fame!  Molly was LOVING all the music and jumped out of her seat to dance for every song!

Our good friend, Bill, joined them too for the game!  Molly had a blast getting to stay up late with the BOYS!

Friday, September 21

Molly's 1st Yoga Class!

I took Molly to her 1st ever yoga class this morning at my old studio!  They just started offering a class for toddlers and I couldn't wait to share my yoga passion with Molly!  We practice often at home, but she's never been to a formal class before.  She LOVED it!

September Morning . . .

Even though the 1st day of Autumn isn't until Saturday - it sure feels like it around here lately.  It has been GORGEOUS outside!  This morning, Molly and I met our friends at the park to enjoy the beautiful weather!

Saturday, September 15

Pumpkin Picking!

We went out for pizza tonight and on our way home we stopped to pick out a few pumpkins - as this 9 month prego mama is getting the "itch" to decorate our home for Autumn!  The weather was a little cooler today and it feels like Fall is coming soon - my favorite time of year!!

Molly had a blast looking at all the different colors and styles of pumpkins.  She pretended that the descriptions by each pumpkin stand were her "Dora Map" telling her how to get to the next section.

We can play football with this one, mom!

Where's Molly?

Molly thought that if she sat on the "Cinderella" Pumpkins that maybe - they just might - turn into Cinderella's carriage and then - Molly would turn into Cinderella!

This one is SO heavy, but it's green!
