I made a big pot of steak soup this morning in the crock pot - and smelling it all day has me in a "nesting mood!" I thought I'd share some autumn scenes around our house. I'm so unbelievably excited to bring this baby home from the hospital - I have so many memories of bringing Molly home from the hospital almost 3 years ago - in the Autumn of 2009.
Yes, I'm attempting a real pumpkin on the front porch again this year, despite squirrels eating my pumpkins every year. But this year is different - I have "armed" this pumpkin with Pledge (see how shiny it looks?). It's lasted 10 days/nights so far - so I'm hopeful!
Love my new front door wreath from Crate & Barrel - just the perfect pop of color!
Molly picked out these great pumpkins for our mantel - the huge orange Cinderella pumpkin and the 2 cool blue-green gourds - can't believe their gorgeous natural color - the sticks and pinecones are courtesy of our yard, of course!
Love this chunky knit throw over our blue couch - it just screams COZY! And YES - can hardly wait to snuggle in it with my 2 kiddos . . .
I finally found a Fall Candle I LOVE! I have never cared for the pumpkin, apples baking scents that are in most Autumn candles. This one - from Pickwick & Company is called Fall Foliage and it truly smells like FALL FOLIAGE - it literally smells like you've had the windows open all day and the leaves are falling . . .
And finally - another scene from our home - a few leaves Molly and I have collected so far this Autumn on our bulletin board in the kitchen. Many more leaves yet to fall . . .
