Swingin' on a Star . . .

Our neighbors across the street (Madelyn: 13 months) recently hung a swing from their beautiful front tree! Lucky us - they offered to let Molly swing in it any time she wants!

If Molly has her way - this would be about 15 times a day. We have agreed to once or twice a day for now . . . and both Molly and mommy enjoy it. Molly SQUEALS with delight when I push her up as high as I can and give her an "under-dog"!
She says "More!!" over and over again . . . the nearby neighbor kids often stop by to help push as seen here! We are soo happy Spring has officially arrived!

Molly - 1st Professional Hair-cut!

OK. Just writing the TITLE to this post made me feel a little teary eyed. Obviously we all know Molly was born with a FULL HEAD of hair - so we knew this day was coming . . .
I've been trimming Molly's hair every few weeks for almost a year now. If you've noticed the photos as of late - the hair was getting a bit shaggy and it is now sooo thick - let's just say it was time for a professional to step in. My friend Marla offered to do it last minute today and so we quickly took her up on it. Mike was off work so we made it a family affair!
Molly made herself right at home when we arrived at the salon in Brookside. She put doggie on the chair and loved that the chair spun so easily! Had to include this shot below as it truly shows how thick and long her hair is now getting.

We brought Goldfish to help Molly stay still - but of course, that only lasted for the first 2 minutes - so THANK GOD for Elmo videos on You Tube!

Molly actually did a great job staying still - and Marla did an even better job moving when Molly moved.
After we got home, Molly immediatly took a nap - getting your hair cut can be exhausting! After she awoke and was drinking her milk - I took a few profile pictures for you to see her new short bob! Marla took off about 2" total. I saved a few CURLS for her baby book!

My baby girl really looks like a little toddler now!

St. Louis - McGinnis Family Reunion!

We joined many of the McGinnis family cousins for a Family Reunion in St. Louis this past weekend! 3 days of eating, drinking and being merry - despite the snowy Spring weather! Family traveled from Wisconsin, Kentucky, Illinois, Arkansas, Nebraska and Kansas.
We also celebrated Grandpa Pat's birthday on Friday night!

Molly cheered for KU from the comforts of our hotel bed . . .
We stayed downtown by the ballpark - and took the trolley to City Museum Saturday morning.

Molly had a blast with all the "big kids" - and loved exploring City Museum!

Saturday afternoon we walked in the snow to the Arch . . . no good pix outside as we were too busy freezing and Molly was catching snowflakes on her tongue. But it was BEAUTIFUL to see all the Bradford Pear trees in full white bloom with snow covering their flowers . . .
Once inside the basement museum, Molly loved seeing the animals . . .

Is that Big Brown Bear?
Molly and Mike at the TOP OF THE ARCH!

Irish Dinner and drinks at McGurks!

Cousin Terri and 2 of her 3 sons.

Cousin Kathy and the oldest of her 3 sons - Jacob. Molly LOVED Jacob and his brothers and played with them all weekend.

Grandpa Pat or "Pop" as Molly calls him . . .

Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob!

Cousin Mike and brother Jeff!

Sunday morning - Molly was pooped (literally).

Molly & Winnie

Have I mentioned lately how much Molly LOVES doggies??

We were hanging out at one of my best friends, Kelly's house, the other day with her daughter Maggie and their dog Winnie. Kelly and Adam just got Winnie a few months ago from the shelter, and Molly has only met her once or twice before, but they seemed to have known each other for YEARS the way they were teasing each other and chasing each other around the house. They were inseparable! I had to take a few pix . . .

ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK . . .

We're in full March Madness mode at our house and Molly is cheering hard for her Jayhawks!! Took a few photos on Friday while she was cheering for her team!

Friday afternoon was another beautiful Spring day here in KC - we walked to the park to spread our KU cheer . . .

Molly played ball with the doggies . . .

She looks so little among the trees!!

Walking home . . .
She saw a cat a few weeks ago at our neighbors house - so now ever day when we are playing outside, she stops in front of their house and say "Meow" over and over and over . . . . here she is looking for him.
