We ❤️ our KC Chiefs!!!

 

What a Game!! 

Our KC Chiefs are going to the Super Bowl for the 3rd time in the last 4 years!! 

Bear waited patiently all day Sunday for the big game . . .

We lit our Mahomes candle for good luck . . .

Played the vibe music . . . 

Went to the Parrishes to watch with them on their big screen!

Some football and wrestling took place between plays . . .

And lots and lots of prayers and hope . . . an exciting and tense game the entire way - so many injuries we overcame and played through!

He did it. What an outstanding leader, with one ankle almost unwalkable on.

I made up a "touchdown dance" to Isiah Pacheco's unique run he does - "it's like he's angry at the ground" - Mahomes. And I named it the "Prosecco dance" - so after we won - we obviously had to break out the Prosecco!

SNOW DAY!!!

 

We only got 2-3" of snow but had a covering of ice underneath so for transportation reasons they cancelled school Wednesday and we were SO EXCITED!! Everyone deserves a snow day every once in awhile!

I let Kate invite her friend Charlie over to play for the afternoon in the snow - she and Bear anxiously waited for her to arrive.

It was COLD, but they played in it for hours!

Meanwhile, Molly stayed warm inside and 

baked these delicious sugar cookies!

The girls decided to do some Valentine's Crafts inside to get warm for a bit -

Another 3 Day Weekend of Fun!

 

We hosted Dinner Club at our house! And after cocktails and dinner, we played cards in the basement - just as we remember our parents doing when they were our age! It was so much fun!!

Sunday + Monday we did a quick trip to Omaha to visit McGinnises.

Our dog sitter cancelled at the last minute, I was going to stay home with Bear as we couldn't find anyone last minute to watch him - but Pat insisted we come WITH Bear! 

And of course, everyone loves him . . . 

He is a cuddle bug.

And just wants to be around his people.

Out to dinner at the casino with their Grandparents!

Kate played her latest piano songs from Grandma . . .

And then, back on the road - the trees were GORGEOUS!

Lady Lake to Visit Grandpa Don!

 

We had a belated Christmas get together with Grandpa Don since we all had the stomach bug over Christmas and had to cancel our trip between Christmas and New Years!  It was wonderful to get to see him and spend time with him!

The first thing the girls wanted to do was drive his golf carts - as they haven't been there in a year and a half and that's their FAVORITE thing to do!  

They are becoming good drivers and Grandpa is giving them all the same lessons he gave me as a teen.

Kate was just a little excited to drive around the parking lot.

He had them practice parking and reversing too . . . 

Ping Pong in the Activity Center . . .

And they LOVED Pop a Shot.

Molly and Grandpa were pretty evenly matched -

We played tennis Sunday after church - 

And then the girls wanted to drive the golf carts around the neighborhood again - 

Seriously their FAVORITE thing to do!

On Margarita Drive . . . 

Kate jumped off while Molly was driving and wanted to "race" us. She's already preparing for track season!

Then off to get ice-cream at Lake Sumter Landing!

Lots of memories here with Grandma JoJo  - shopping and getting ice cream.

Then it was time to hit the greens for some putting lessons from Grandpa - an 18 hole miniature golf course. It was so fun!!

The girls spotted a sand volleyball court - so we played a bit, all 5 of us.

Not bad when you're playing barefoot in the sand in January!

Grandpa is such a fun kid at heart!

Dinner at Carol's house Sunday night! Wish I had taken a pix with her!  We had a great night - capped off with a Plank contest with Dad and the girls - Molly won!

SWOOP is our new favorite card game! We played for a couple hours after dinner!
