Fun Summer Camp Week!

Early Monday morning, Molly, Vivian and Anna were off to Camp Tekakwitha for a week! They were all so excited! They LOVED their camp counselor who just graduated from St. James High School and going to Benedictine in the fall!

Man, I'm going to miss her - but SO excited for all of them!

Meanwhile back at home, my two science kids were doing electrical experiments testing hypotheses that Kate had . . .

Fun Dad award.

Most of my garden survived all our travels,
my basil particularly loving the summer heat!

Tomatoes are slow growing this year . . .

Zinneas are finally popping!

And I harvested my first beet!

Cucumbers on their way!

Monday afternoon, Kate got to start Horse Camp with neighbor friends!

Out in the country every HOT afternoon this week
but these girls don't care - they LOVE horses!

{Kate, Adrienne, Sadie}

Kate has her last Wednesday morning basketball practice of the summer - and her assignment was to make a posterboard/report of an athlete she admires. She chose Yusra Martini - the Syrian refugee swimmer! She worked hard on her report and was so excited to share it with her team!

We sent a picture of Kate with her poster to the actual Yusra Martini and she left a message for Kate!

These coaches have been so awesome practicing with these girls every Wednesday morning from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. this summer!

{Coach Milbert, Lucy, Marek, Kate, Harper, Lottie, Vivian, Coach Majors}

Already almost 90 degrees out!

Kate set up our living room to be a "vet clinic and spa" -

The Pampering station . . .

The gift shop when you enter -

Kate and I returned to "Hot yoga" this week, as we
knew it must be cooler than it was outside!

On Friday, Kate had a "horse show" to show off her skills learned at camp this week -

She loves to trot and run!

She got to paint and decorate her horse, Tiffany, herself before the show!

Giving me a tour of the stables before we leave . . .wanted to introduce me to every horse.

Hard for her to leave the stables . . .

Goodbye Kate . . .

Goodbye Tator Tot . . .

Friday night pizza making with neighbor Charley!

Saturday I couldn't leave early enough to go pick up Molly and friends from camp! I was SO Excited to get her! Oh how we all have missed her around the house!

Tired, happy, and faith on fire!!!!
{Vivian, Anna, Molly}

Sign Kate made for Molly when we got home, along with a balloon and gum!

Mike and I went to see one of my FAVORITE comedians Saturday night at Starlight Theatre . . . no pictures to show as they confiscated our phones when we arrived - but it was a great time!

Sunday afternoon the girls and I went to see Matilda the Musical at the White Theatre at the JCCC - it was the last day of it showing and the girls had been wanting to see it. It was a great production!

More Shenanigans with the McGinnis Crew . . .

Grandpa Pat with his 3 Granddaughters . . .
Molly (12), Kate (9), Charlotte (9)

Mike led us on a hunt to find the hidden troll in downtown Omaha -

And out to lunch at our favorite local taco joint - California Taco!

Kate + Charlotte played Rainbow High Dolls every chance they could get back at the house - and the last night there, they washed (and conditioned) all of their hair.

Grandpa bought each girl their own Ben & Jerry's ice-cream container for the week and the girls were in Heaven that they could eat out of the carton!

Grandma and her Grand Girls!

More Memories Made at Mahoney

When my MIL (Grandma Pat) was a little girl, she dreamed of having 3 daughters someday. One with red hair, one brunette, and one blonde. She eventually got married and had 4 beautiful children, 3  sons and 1 daughter, all brunettes.

Then, those sons went on to have daughters.
And the daughters had red hair, brunette and blonde hair...

Back to Mahoney!

Taking a moment to pray for the Native Americans at their original burial site.

Back to the pool!

Had to stop and visit the horses!

We call her the "Horse Whisperer"
