Basketball Season Ends . . .

Long winter week of more snow and cold, but were
grateful to get to watch some great basketball, as the
girls both ended the seasons with a bang!

Kate playing with her teammates on a rare warm winter day . . .

Kate at Victoria's birthday party . . .
{Lottie, Vivian, Harper, Kate, Ruby, Victoria, Marek}

Molly went to the St. Teresa vs Sion basketball game with friends!

{Campbell, Anna, Molly, Vivian}

Whenever I finish my yoga/pilates, Bear is right there to
lay by me and put his paw on me while I stretch.

End of season tournament games . . .

Kate's 3rd Grade was AGAIN undefeated
for the entire season and took home 1st place! LOVE watching these girls play -
they all have so much heart and such great teamwork!

Kate shared her medal with Bear.

Molly's last game of the season was played at St. Agnes, which always has such special memories for us! (Where we were married and girls were baptized)

Molly played tough the entire game, despite a sprained ankle from practice this week.
Love her determination and passion for the game!

We celebrated with a family dinner at a hibachi grill! It was so fun as the girls had never been to one before and they loved watching them cook in front of us!

Catching shrimps!

Bear LOVES when Kate reads books to him before bed.

Late Winter Days . . .

"Snow Bird Bunny Skiing" by Kate

The Apple Valley Scooter Squad in their Snow Gear, running
from house to house to sled and play in the snow!

Bear, checking on me in the bathroom window
while he runs around in the new snow!

We had an accidental 5 day weekend with snow days and such so the girls
put the tent up in the basement and called it their sleeping quarters for awhile.

They sure know how to decorate a tent to be cozy! Loved listening to them laugh
and play games until late at night each night!

"Mom, please give us some privacy!" - Bear

Lots of snow days this month!

8" this week!

Snowed hard all day long . . .

Got their library books out of school backpacks and found this treasure. Glad the school
library is helping feed Kate's desire to have a pet ferret someday.

I'm starting to dream of my spring and summer garden . . .

And on a day with no snow - I turned over my garden to get it ready and
found these carrots that survived the winter somehow!

Lots of basketball this past weekend!
Kate was in a city tournament that was intense, but gave these 3rd
graders lots of practice!

Molly had another CYO game at Notre Dame de Sion, playing point guard.
I love watching them play!

This is 48.

After a long weekend of basketball games, the school auction party, Super Bowl, + Valentine's Day, I was pooped! But Mike and the girls still celebrated me and I felt spoiled!

I awoke to lots of giggling and whispering at 6:20 a.m. - they were decorating the entire kitchen with streamers and Mike had mini bundt cakes for breakfast with 48 sparkler candles lit!!

Bear even put a tie on before 6:30 a.m.
to wish me a happy spin around the sun!

When they decorate, they DECORATE.

It was a beautiful day in the 60's! A nice change from 0 degrees a year ago!
Bear and I took a nice long hike and enjoyed the fresh air.

Sarah sent me beautiful tulips!

After school, Kate used the streamers as a "spy training" course.
Pretend to hear James Bond music in the background . . .

After a yummy salmon dinner, I opened gifts! Everyone was so thoughtful and I felt very loved! Kate chose to do homemade gifts this year and painted this pink heart for me.

We are tired, but so grateful. ❤️

Kate also included this "fragile, homemade,
never expires, use when needed" book of coupons.

I will treasure this always.

She will make me an "I love you" card whenever I turn in this coupon.

Or perhaps a foot rub?

Or 5 kisses!

Or a back scratch!

Or she will make me another homemade gift -
NOT something from her room, but something NEW! ;)

This one made me laugh. When I turn this in, she will pick my outfit for me. Better wait until I'm ready to wear sparkles and high heels all day when I turn this one in!

Kate has been begging me to sleep in her bed with her and have a sleepover this month -
so she found a way to get in it - in the coupon book!

I will get to borrow some of her lavender bath salts she made in a craft kit - but she puts them in for me (so I don't use too much!)
