Halloween 2020

Halloween 2020 will definitely go down as one of my all time favorites! The creativity and kindness of so many friends and neighbors - stepping it up big time with innovation and generosity to give these kids a holiday to remember during a year of cancellations!

We decided to let the girls Trick or Treat in our own neighborhood but they had to social distance and could not do the normal "eating" as they go . . .all treats had to be consumed safely at home after washing hands and letting Mom cut open packaging!

Kate was Audrey from Disney's Descendants
Molly was a creepy life size doll

Molly's good friend, Anna, joined us as a Devil

We could not have asked for better weather! Temperatures in the 60's and on a Saturday night!

Bear was pretty pumped for his 1st Halloween too . . .

And they are off! With me running to keep up . . .

I was so impressed with all the creativity this year to keep it safe!
Lots of neighbors set up shooters like this . . .

And many more had tables out with candy spaced apart . . .

These are the days . . .

The decorations did NOT disappoint this year! If we have learned nothing this year - it's that we must celebrate even the simplest JOYS!

The Apple Valley Gang

Assessing their loot . . . a night that we did not want to end!

Thank you to everyone who Boo'd us this year and who gave us bags of candy preceding Halloween and for ALL those who participated - 2020 is a year we all got creative and came together.

Autumn Days . . .

Really enjoying this gorgeous long Fall we are having . . . the trees are GORGEOUS!

And my Zinnea garden just keeps blooming!

Love playing ball in the backyard with this guy . . .

Kate introduced Bear to the playhouse . . .

Lots of walks with Bears every day . . .

Hosted my Fall Skincare Open House - virtually - this year, because of Covid.

Still fun . . . but sure do miss hosting friends in our home!

Bear helped the girls and I "Boo" some neighbors houses before Halloween!

Family Pix with Bear!

Our friend, Kristin, came over a couple of weeks ago to capture our puppy love while Bear was still just 10 weeks old! It was a FREEZING cold day (in the 40's with brisk wind) but everyone was a trooper for about 15 minutes in the front and back yard and we got some great photos to remember Bear as a little puppy!!

Sister secrets - always.

Kate LOVES to carry Bear everywhere - he's her baby, for sure.

Sunday Family Relays!

Quarantine Fun while in KC meant creating our own Family Relays!

New slime for the winners!

Bear was cheering from the sidelines . . .

All the adults participated too!

Nerf gun shooting range was the last stop and proved to be the most challenging for all!

Our tally board

We played lots of games too . . .

Bear on my lap for a nap . . .

We played "pass the bear" around the fire . . .

Fireside chats . . .

Baby Bear sleeping as we wore him out!

Sunday dessert - Apple Turnovers with Vanilla Ice-cream

3rd night of Cousin Sleepovers in the basement!

Monday morning came the good-byes and we were so sad to see them leave . . .
but what a wonderful weekend it was with them here!
