Basketball, Snow, + Sickness

Molly had her last regular season practice and the coaches surprised them with shooting contests for candy bars - they were all so excited to win CHOCOLATE! This is Molly's 3rd year playing with these girls and they are such a great team who work together, encouraging each other and having fun!

We had another huge snow and  Molly is out there as much as possible, building anything she can out of snow!

Kate prefers to help Dad with the shoveling . . .

Kate asked if she could paint my nails . . .

I love finding love notes like these all over the house now that Kate knows how to spell . . .

Poor Molly bear has been sick the last few days - with tummy bug.

Breaks my heart to see her usual lively, silly spirit gone - prayers she is on the road to feeling better soon.

In the mean time, have been trying hard to keep the girls separated which is so hard to do if you know how close they are.

Kate offered to teach me school one day . . . she "dressed" the part complete with her glasses and pearl bracelet.

Weather outlook: snow, rain, more snow . . .

She was strict!

Finally, story time on the rug . . .

Yesterday was Kate's last game ever of Kindergarten Basketball -

She had such a fun year learning the sport with friends!

Warming up . . .

She even got some new hardware and fist bumps!

Her adorable Kindergarten team with their AWESOME coaches!

Skate City!

Another day off of school, so we picked up a few friends to go Roller Skating with us at Skate City! We ALL skated for 2.5 hours and they still weren't ready to leave!

This is 45.

When you have kids ages 6 and 9, and you have a birthday - it's a BIG deal - as the kids LOVE to celebrate BIG TIME. And this year, it fell on a SNOW DAY so they were so excited to get be home all day!

They completely surprised me with breakfast in bed brought in on a cookie sheet . . .

Fresh squeezed lemon, lime and orange juice (mixed together with water), scrambled eggs with feta cheese (my favorite) and a Dove chocolate for dessert. I especially love the note.

When I emerged from my room and breakfast, they had streamers all over the house . . .

It snowed ALL day long . . .

And a dear friend drove to Starbucks in the middle of the blizzard to bring me a sweet card and my favorite Starbucks Matcha Green Tea Latte. Made my day!

The girls and I made chocolate chip banana bread . . .

Later, when Mike was home we opened gifts . . . first up was Kate's card -

She made me these home-made bracelets that I wore all weekend long.

Then, Molly's . . .

She gave me this sweet gold Mom bracelet with a heart. I will cherish it.

Kate wore her fanciest necklace for the occasion . . .

A few more gifts from Mike, my parents and my sister to open . . .

Family pix outside dinner restaurant!

Back home for my FAVORITE cupcakes in all the world - Lemon Cupcakes from Cafe' Europa. Can't believe Mike remembered - as we haven't had them in years!

Feel VERY blessed at age 45. I feel loved.
