I had no idea who the girls were going to dress up as at 3:00 on Halloween afternoon - Molly told me they both were going to surprise me. We have plenty of dress-up clothes in our house these days - so I told them to use something we have - Molly was a Pirate Fairy yesterday for her school party so I assumed she would do that again! Molly came down in her Anna costume (from Frozen) and asked me to braid her hair in "Anna braids" - she looked adorable and was so excited! I love that in a world full of girls wanting to be Elsa - Molly chose Anna, the kind younger sister in the movie! Then she told me Kate wanted to be "Dorothy." I had them pose for me on our front porch before we loaded up in the car to Trick or Treat with our old neighborhood friends. I promised them, since we moved 3 weeks before Halloween that we would come back to celebrate on Clark Drive this year.
First house we went to was our good friend Madelyn across the street from our old house - the girls were so excited to see each other!
The girls - ready to go!
{Ellie, Molly, Madelyn, Kate, Olivia, Madeleine}
You can see our old house in the background of Kate's pix - we went to visit Tami, who bought our house and she gave us a tour and had special Halloween treats just for Molly & Kate.
It was the coldest Halloween we've had in their young lives - so we didn't last long - and Kate wanted to be carried a lot. But they were still so excited - such a fun holiday when you have little ones - to see the excitement in their eyes as they run from house to house with the neighbor kids is truly priceless!
It was COLD!
My hot cocoa (with Baileys) kept me warm, along with Kate's little hand!
We returned to our new house to hit a few houses . . .
Coming home . . . love traditions - especially traditions with these little ones!
Happy Halloween!
