Molly - Hiding under the Furniture

As I mentioned in an earlier post -- Molly loves to scoot, push and roll herself under furniture. She hides under there and then pops her little head out the opposite side and laughs so hard at herself!! Mike took these great photos of Molly playing the other day under her favorite piece to hide under--the ottoman! Who knew when I bought this for my first house 10 years ago it would be my daughters FAVORITE TOY someday!

Memorial Day Weekend

Grams and Gramps came to visit for Memorial Day Weekend at the last minute and Molly was spoiled with love and hugs!!

Grams reading to Molly . . .

Gramps feeding oatmeal to Molly - he says he hasn't done it in 30 years but he seems to be an old pro!!

Molly discussing the Royals season (so far) with Gramps!

Thanks Grams for the pretty dress!

Girls Night Out!

My girlfriends and I decided with Sex & the City 2 movie coming out- it was a great excuse to get a huge group of fun ladies together for a girls night out! We met out for drinks, then saw the movie--38 of us total!! Such a fun night!

I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friendships!!

Movie about to start!

Molly - 6 1/2 months!

Molly sat down to pose for me the other day and as you can see she is such a SILLY GIRL!! She insisted on pulling up her dress for the last shot--even though her daddy discouraged it! She was singing for the shoot--every once in a while giving me a zerbert kiss in the air--as seen in photo #3.

Molly - 6 month professional pix!

Our friend Maura came over to capture Molly at 6 months! Of course Molly decided this would be her ONE day to take NO NAPS!! :) So . .. needless to say, she was not as giggly as she usually is--but still LOVE these photos that truly capture her features at this age! Her CHEEKS and her HUGE BROWN EYES!! :)

Molly - Eating Baby Food!

I should give an update on Molly's eating, as the previous post of her trying to eat cereal--it was all OVER her and none of it was going IN her. :) After a couple weeks of "practicing" Molly now eats it and SWALLOWS a couple tablespoons twice a day--although she prefers oatmeal over the boring rice!
So, now that we are a little more confident with the spoon - we decided to introduce a veggie. Below is her reaction to her very first "real" food experience --pureed squash:

At the Park with Friends . . .

Sunday afternoon the 3 of us went to the end of the year ice-cream social at the park with my mom's group at church. It was an unusually warm day for May but Molly had fun playing with her friend Vivian (above) and Mary Kate (below).

Molly & Daddy Playin' . . .

Here is a video from our trip to California last month -- just now getting around to posting it.
Love how much she is CRACKING UP-- hard to get captured on film!

Molly - Sitting up like a big girl!

Molly just recently started sitting up all by herself. One day she just started doing it! She can't get here on her own though--so if she falls over she will call out for you to re position her!
She LOVES to sit like this! It is SO funny to see her sitting like a big girl because she is still so tiny!

Molly - Eating Cereal!

Molly has just begun to eat rice cereal. She is NOT a fan--but gives a solid effort. We will probably keep trying it for a couple weeks before we introduce veggies/fruits!

Mike came home from work and took this picture of me feeding Molly. This photo cracks me up -- she's looking at Mike as if she's saying to him, "Dad, help me--this stuff is SO gross!"

Molly is mobile!

Over the last few weeks Molly has been rolling from back to tummy, tummy to back, etc. But the last week or so she has been moving across the room in a blink of an eye! She scoots, rolls, pushes to get where she needs to be.

Her latest endeavor is to push both feet into the floor (picture her legs in a frog pose) and push off while arching her back and looking behind her. She will push backwards like this over and over again until she hits the wall or finds herself underneath things--hence the photos. :) She cracks me up-here she is underneath her crib just singing/babbling away. She cannot move forward yet--so she just goes backwards as far as she can go . . .

Slow down little baby. Don't grow so fast!
