We flew to Italy for two weeks to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and it was heaven!!!
First stop: Rome. We stayed at a darling bed + breakfast near the Vatican and walked everywhere, all over the beautiful city each day.
We loved the Coliseum tour! So much history!

We were lucky enough to get tickets to the Papal visit and got Pope Benedict's blessing.

After several days in Rome, we took a beautiful train ride to Venice!
We stayed at a cute little apartment B&B that was upstairs in a building and it felt like we lived there with the locals, kids were playing down below in the street. It was BEAUTIFUL!
We LOVED Venice and St. Mark's Square . . .

And on our anniversary night, we had a wonderful Gondola ride before dinner!

Then, another train ride to Florence!
